Paris, Jan. 30 (SANA) French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday expressed his country’s support for the comprehensive agreement reached between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
In a post on the X platform, Macron said France supports “a sovereign, unified and stable Syria, enjoying peace, respecting all its components, and fully engaged in the fight against terrorism.”
He added, “I congratulate President Ahmad al-Sharaa and General Mazloum Abdi on approving this morning a comprehensive agreement that paves the way for a permanent ceasefire and ensures the peaceful integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces,” stressing that France will support the full implementation of the agreement.
Macron also noted that France, in coordination with its international partners, continues to support Syria and its people on the path toward stability, justice, and reconstruction.
